Emmaus board contacts 2010 with walk/important dates

Due to the 2010 soccer world cup, it was decided to have only ONE Young Ladies Chrysalis weekend and ONE Young Mens Chrysalis weekend.

The dates are as follows:

Young Ladies (15 years – 28 years) – 17th -20th June – LD Karin Romans

Young Mens (15 years – 28 years) – 24th -27th June – LD Randall Toerien

emmaus newsletter november 2008 – february 2009

Dear community member of Son Valley Chrysalis & Emmaus,

Wow! it’s been a busy month or two for us as we’ve just turned over the calendar for April 2009 already!

We’ve seen the blessing of God at work on both the Emmaus Walks; Mens #103 and Ladies #104 with Peter Jolliffe and Sharon Ackermann and Teams a job well done!

Our first revers Candlelight at the Mens weekend with the blessing of rain and the joy of smiling faces as God’s light of love emerged into commitments and new steps of these Pilgrims.

We look forward to the Reunion of these two walks this weekend – Saturday 04th April at 14:00 – Northfield Methodist.

From a Chrysalis perspective we have held our Team Selection of the Girls #61 and Boys Flights #62 on the 11th March and we’re thrilled with the capacity of Volunteers filled and we await confirmation as Lay Directors make contact with them.  The first Servant’s Table meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 06th April and we look forward with the excitement of things taking motion 

The planning and preparation for the wing span to Zimbabwe has been well away with the help of Lee Thomson and Sharon Meyer and the confirmed SA teams of Charlotte du Plessis, Shirley Hollier, Sharon Meyer, Patrick Clarke, Edward Hofmeyr, Randall Toerine.  The SA Girls Team depart JHB on Wednesday 14th April 2009 for their weekend whilst the Boy Team depart Thursday 23rd April 2009 for their respective weekend.  We ask that you please hold us in prayer as we finalise the planning and preparation from our side as well as the Team and Pilgrims in Zimbabwe for their dedication and attendance of the weekends.  Should you wish to be part of these weekends in anyway, please feel free to contact us as a Chrysalis Board?
